Digital Services Coordinators

Below the Commission’s supervision of the largest platforms, each EU country designates a Digital Services Coordinator: the authority responsible for applying and enforcing the DSA on its territory, certifying trusted flaggers, and cooperating across borders through the European Board for Digital Services.

Designation deadline

Member States had to designate their Digital Services Coordinator by 17 February 2024. 26 of the 27 have done so; Poland has not yet designated a DSC. The Commission opened infringement proceedings over late designation and referred several States to the Court of Justice in 2025 — most have since complied after adopting national implementing laws.
